Q4 gift cartons: metallized UV and conventional board do not share one lead time
A holiday carton often mixes gold board and ordinary folding board. Those inks do not sit on the same Hefei shelf, and they do not share one ship date.
One gift set, two chemistries
Holiday work often pairs a metallized lid with a coated or grey-back carton. The lid wants a UV ink matched to the lamp. The body wants a conventional oxidative ink. Putting both lines on one “offset ink, as soon as possible” email hides which clock is running.
The Hefei lead-time article already separates warehouse stock from a factory slot. Q4 is when that split matters, because both clocks get busier and a missed trial week is hard to buy back.
- Split the RFQ: UV grade and conventional grade on separate lines.
- Ask “Hefei stock or factory slot?” for each line.
- Book the trial kilos before you book the sea lot.
- Do not assume UV-G and a conventional quickset share a packing day.
- Name the port and the Incoterm on each line.
What usually takes longer
A grade already on the floor in Hefei is a warehouse and truck problem. A grade that must be made or packed at the contracted plant, or in the Furey schedule, waits on that factory. LED-UV and mercury UV are not interchangeable leftovers if one of them is short.
We will not publish a fixed number of days. The honest answer is which clock applies this week, then a window we recheck when you confirm kilos.
Trial first, container second
A gift job that fails adhesion on gold board wastes more than the tin. Run the trial on the live lamp and the live board, keep the signed sheet, and only then release the export lot. The trial grade, pack, and lamp type have to be the ones on the big order.
Conventional cartons in the same set still need their own dry and powder check. Passing the UV lid does not clear the oxidative body.
How to write the date you need
Write the press date, not only “before Christmas”. Inland plants and export plants are different buffers. If the sheet must be on the press in a named week, say so, and say whether a partial Hefei stock can start the trial while the factory slot finishes the balance.
What the quote covers
HuiRun does not control factory holidays or vessel space. A quotation dated this week is not a promise that the same kilos exist next month. Ask again before you print the purchase order.

- How should the numbers in this article be used?
- The ranges here are typical shop practice. Confirm them on your press, paper lot, and lamps or dryer. Catalog numbers stay on the data sheet; the signed sheet comes from a trial.
