LED-UV inquiries: wavelength, power, and press speed on the RFQ

“UV press” is not a lamp specification. Wavelength, power, and speed decide whether the tin is LED-UV or a mercury grade.

A blank lamp line stops the quote

The general RFQ article lists press, stock, kilos, and documents. LED-UV needs a second block. Without it we cannot tell LOCOER LED-UV from UV-G, or which Honglu UV tin matches the modules you installed.

Mercury and LED chemistry are already explained in the lamp article. This note is only the fields to write down.

  • Lamp maker and model, not only “LED”.
  • Peak wavelength of the modules actually fitted.
  • Power or a radiometer reading, plus the speed you measured it at.
  • How many bars, and after which units.
  • Stock name and whether finishing is the same day.

Wavelength without the module is a guess

LED arrays used on sheetfed presses are often talked about in a band around 365–395 nm. That band is not one product. Two presses both called LED-UV can peak in different places. Copy the number from the module plate or the lamp manual, not from a forum post.

If the plate is missing, say so. We would rather hold the quote than ship a tin matched to a wavelength you hoped for.

Power is meaningless without speed

A dose at 8,000 sheets an hour is not the dose at 14,000. Write the speed next to any watt, percent, or millijoule figure your crew already records. If nobody measures dose, say “not measured” and send lamp age or install date instead of a round number.

Dirty reflectors and a dead segment change the sheet even when the nameplate is unchanged. A new ink tin does not repair that.

What HuiRun sends back

A named grade: LOCOER LED-UV, or Honglu UV only when that tin is the LED version, plus the TDS for that SKU. If your numbers describe a mercury train, the reply will say UV-G or the mercury Honglu tin, not a compromise blend.

What the quote covers

We do not certify that your bars will cure the film. Put the radiometer reading on the plant’s trial sheet. Do not ask us to print a cure guarantee on the quotation.

Key questions

What is the short answer?
“UV press” is not a lamp specification. Wavelength, power, and speed decide whether the tin is LED-UV or a mercury grade.

How should the numbers in this article be used?
The ranges here are typical shop practice. Confirm them on your press, paper lot, and lamps or dryer. Catalog numbers stay on the data sheet; the signed sheet comes from a trial.
